A Desert Song

1999 -- somewhere in the middle of the Arizona desert...

Returning from a family visit to meet his newborn granddaughter, Jonathan Walsh, lead singer of Torrent, decides to take the long route home to California.

After about a week of travel, he finds himself exhausted while driving through the arid Arizona desert. Vision Lake offers the Skylark Inn as a last-minute spot to crash.

If only Jonathan could figure out why the woman behind the counter is so skittish, the overly-religious owner keeps coming onto him, or why it seems that no one ever leaves this place... alive...
