A Course in Syntax for EFL Students at University Level has been compiled to meet the needs of students studying English as a foreign/second language at the departments of English. It is a comprehensive book that deals with English syntax mainly based on descriptive grammar. It is based on constuctivism learning theory in compilation. It contains fourteen chapters dealing with the following topics. Introduction to syntax, word classes, concord, phrases, clauses, English sentences with all its types. The last two chapters of the book treat two important concepts in syntax; IC Analysis and Phrase Strucure Rules. The focus of each chapter is on its syntactic features.
