Joe's life consists of monotony, of lost opportunities, lost bets and lost love, that is, until he decides to flee his obligations for the perfect life in the paradaisical lands of Southeast Asia where the sun shines and where beautiful women, good times and cheap alcohol come in abundance. When Joe invests his 'borrowed' funds in a beachfront bar, he finds that paradise comes at a high price, and that murder, kidnapping and hard drugs aren't just the stuff of action movies. They're what Joe must adapt to if he wants to stay alive.
