A fleet of British ships was seen sailing north through the Chesapeake Bay. Having recently sacked Washington, they were headed to Baltimore to deliver a similar fate.In search of food and supplies, they dropped anchor off the small and unremarkable Poplar Island. While pillaging and terrorizing the residents of the tiny island, they captured Mackenzie, soon to be known as Mac.
