Youth

An old classic from a Hugo Award Winning author. ""Youth"" is a science fiction novelette by Isaac Asimov. It first appeared in the May 1952 issue of Space Science Fiction. Red and Slim found the two strange little animals the morning after they heard the thunder sounds. They knew that they could never show their new pets to their parents. Youth is one of the rare Asimov stories with alien characters.
