You're Still a Queen

Heartbreak. We've all been there. Some of us shut down--acting like it doesn't faze us and sweep our emotions under a rug. Some of us move on without even trying to heal, ignoring the pain. But when we do this, it keeps us from healing. My inspiration for this book comes from personal experiences, both my own and from those close to me. Although heartbreak comes from a variety of sources, I focus on the losses of romantic relationships and friendships. I started writing poetry after realizing how much poetry positively impacted my healing process. This short book of free verse poetry flows through the phases of pain, healing, and regaining your worth. It is applicable to anyone, guy or girl, young or old. Whoever you are, I want you to know I get it. You're not the only one living through heartache, having to begin healing your heart and finding yourself again. I hope my words can bring you comfort, reassurance, and encouragement. Have courage as you start the healing process, allow yourself to flow through the emotions, and let my writings serve as words of affirmation.
