Workshop and Laboratory Practices

This manual is intended to impart practical skills for workshop and laboratory practices meant for the Bachelor of Science Degree program in Mining and Mineral Processing Engineering. The book focuses on practical participatory approach for both learners and the technologists who will be administering practicals for internal attachment. Emphasis is placed on evaluation that will follow so as to capture assessment of the results for each assignment by the technologist, who will capture key aspects such as quality of workmanship for products made and precision of dimensions. Technical report for each practical undertaken by students shall be approved by the lecturer in session. It is anticipated that Workshop and Laboratory Practices - A Competency and Evaluation Based Guide, will be an invaluable aid to students and technologists during internal attachment sessions.
