Working with Bilingual Language Disability

This volume deals with the practical issues involved in working with language handicapped children from bilingual communities. Written by practising teachers and speech therapists, the book reflects the experiences and the realities of working with such children within a sound theoretical framework. Attention is give to the issues facing all practitioners involved with this client population and includes such topics as assessment, language choice in therapy, the need for developmental language information, therapy initiatives and bilingual staffing.
