Woman's Journey without Children

In a world where bearing children is often seen as the norm and a rite of passage, explore the profound journeys of women who have chosen a different path in "Choosing Not to Mother: Women's Journeys to Childlessness." This research project delves into the shifting landscape of childbearing, with a substantial increase in childless families and a doubling in the number of women who opt not to have children.

While societal acceptance of women without children has grown, they still encounter varying degrees of stigma. This study offers a comprehensive review of the literature on the topic and provides insight into the subjective experiences of ten women who have made the deliberate choice not to have children. It investigates the decision-making process, delving into how these participants arrived at their choice and the impact it had on their sense of self.
