Woman of Salt

An underground river, aquifer of memory,
cistern of ancient lake that runs beneath
these three seen rivers, triangle of history

and hope, is pushed, rushed to the point, to
the Point, and carves, emerges, juts into this pool,
in which I am fifteen, wading, a new river flowing
