The tragic story of a small Filipina girl who tried to run away in 1953 is revived sixty years later when an aging prostitute confides in her young rickshaw driver. Their encounter with a mysterious American, expert in 'jumping on the stars', inspires new dream of running away until the young rickshaw driver uncovers classified information and starts to question what each of them is really trying to escape.
