Witchbone Book Two: The Ghost of Annie Gray

For fans of Christina Henry, Neil Gaiman, Ray Bradbury, and Joe Hill, dive into the strange and dark adventures of Danny Hallow in Vol. 2 of Witchbone, a modern horror-fantasy series.

Danzellan Hallow is enjoying the best summer of his life.

His new home of Eddystone has beaches, boardwalks, and woods to explore, and for the first time in his life he has friends to hang out with. Danny, Ezra, Ellie, Unwen, and Church are making the most of the warm summer days before it all ends and school begins, assuming that their time playing Monster Hunt in real life is in the past.

But Danny has a couple of concerns. His health has been sketchy since the terrifying events of the previous winter, and his alien abilities are unpredictable and constantly misfiring. Then, with Danny at his weakest, a current of dark and unusual energy begins to invade Eddystone once more.

When a young girl named Annie Gray goes missing around the same time Danny and his friends begin to notice that things are getting weird in Eddystone again, they fear that a simple human abduction isn't the explanation. Their suspicions are reinforced when Annie's raggedy, angry revenant invades Danny's attic, demanding and desperate for help, insisting she's not dead but lost and in need of rescue from the mad things that have taken her away to somewhere far beyond Eddystone, and possibly beyond the this world completely.

After witnessing the bizarre abduction of another young girl and being left with more questions than answers, Danny and his friends agree that either they help Annie or no one will...and if they don't, more kids will be taken and thrown into the nightmare that's left Annie's mind broken, confused, and separated from her body.

Can Danny and his friends reach Annie before it's too late for her to come home in one piece?

Not written for young children, the Witchbone series is for readers of fantasy fiction who don't shy away from unsettling ideas and dark subjects, for those who read Something Wicked This Way Comes and watched The Goonies, Coraline, and the Dark Crystal, people who had Stephen King on their bookshelves at age ten and love a good Halloween vibe all year 'round.

TRIGGER WARNINGS: This book contains some profanity and depictions of horror, violence, and stressful situations involving children.
