Why didn't I die?

"I finally awoke. I was very weak and incoherent. I was trying to see what was happening around me. As I picked up my head, I could see my whole body was twisted and folded inside a suitcase. I could not feel anything, and my head was hanging outside the suitcase on a sidewalk outside an old building. I saw Carlos, my husband, zip up the suitcase, leaving just my head out; and a nurse came out of the building to help him carry the suitcase inside. I tried to talk, yell, scream, but nothing came out of my mouth."
