Two Senegalese slaves in love face seperation during the dark final months of America's Civil War.

Miro and Osmanu are forced to work on Sir Williams' plantation in Virginia. They were sold together after unexpectedly flirting on a slaveship during one of perilous journeys from West Africa to the Americas. Since their arrival, Osmanu is plotting their escape to the North.

Meantime, Sir William is contemplating sleeping with one of his slaves and Miro is high on his list.

Will these two lovers escape to the North in time or will Sir William ruin it all?
