Theft of a dangerous, charmed amulet throws Dragonwolders peaceful Veiled Valley into panic and confusion.Two young dragonriders, Nnylf and Alana, sworn Valley Protectors, go after the thief who happens to be Alanas brother, Kurnan. Astride their faithful dragons and in the company of a rock giant and a clever sprite, they find Kurnan; but afraid of the amulets powers, they keep their distance.The Malevir, a powerful, vengeful creature, aims to destroy the dragon clans of Dragonwolder. For that purpose, it inhabits the amulet Kurnan has stolen and uses it to torture the young man with nightmares and pain. The Malevirs great powers threaten Kurnan and the dragonriders alike, but Nnylf and Alanas team have one more chance to stop the Malevir from succeeding.
