Idaho poet Dena Parker Duke uses poetry as a way to connect to herself and others. When You Know is the third book of poetry she has published, along with In Your Bones and Tiny Lights. In this third collection of poetry, Dena tries to strike the balance between showing up to care for yourself, while embracing and caring for the world. Ever since writing her first book of poetry, she's been moving along a continuum of healing, writing more and more about liberation and joy. Dena has faith that we all know best how to heal, grieve, forgive, and love-if we give ourselves a chance. She also believes poetry can help lead us all to more healing and love as it becomes more accessible to everyone, and is doing her part to make it so.
