Painting, sculpture, and music cannot be committed like literature, because their drawings, shapes, and melodies are not referred to another meaning, as is the case with literature - meanings are not drawn or put into melodies, while the writer''s effort is limited to expressing the meanings - the field of meanings is prose, so poetry is like painting and sculpture. Music does not accept commitment - the search for truth can only be achieved by using language as a tool, and this is not the poet''s business, as words have small worlds to serve instead of using them - prose is a method of thought, and a moment of action, and it is by revealing the situation immediately in order to overcome it in the future - The writer''s mission is to reveal situations so that no one "can then claim for himself a way out of the situation" - and this disclosure does not diminish the value of the artistic method of writing, provided that the artistic method is unnoticeable.
