What Greater Sin

Five years after the suicide of his son, Lieutenant Deacon MacNair searches in vain for information on the rehabilitation treatments that drove his boy mad. MacNair, a son of the South who chose to fight for the Federal Unification Army, is haunted by the demons of war and disavowed by both sides. But when an angel of death begins to hunt and brutally execute the faithful, Deacon races to stop him and uncovers a secret that the leadership of God's new Republic will kill to keep hidden and one that the killer will stop at nothing to expose - a truth that could destroy his soul or restore his faith.
