Wetmore Family of America, and Its Collateral Branches

Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. This work was commenced with a view only to arrange a brief genealogy and biography in manuscript, of the author's branch of the family of Wetmore for his own satisfaction; as he progressed he discovered many things that would interest other branches, and being urgently solicited by. Influential members of the family to advance his researches, he consented, supposing a few months would enable him to compile a work that would be acceptable to those directly interested, and at the same time in some measure, perpetuate the memory of The founder of the Family, as well as many of his worthy descendants. Proceeding in his labors, material increased upon his hands, until nearly two years and a half had been devoted exclusively to collecting and arranging what the reader finds before him.
