West Haven Alien Invasion

The book is old-style pulp fiction. In a high-tech city slum of the far future, sudden supernatural occurrences at a park and a psychiatric institution lead to a long night of terror as survivors escape a bizarre alien disaster, evil madmen, and the alien monster from a parallel world causing it. Using a decommissioned underground train, they head for the source in a final attempt to defeat the alien evil.
