The Cuban Missile Crisis was a hoax. It didn't take place in Cuba, Washington & Moscow, but on the plains of Texas, where a ragtag bunch of conspirators used a tycoon's money to buy their own army and start their own country -- all in the name of saving the Earth from certain destruction.
