Walking with Angels

An invitation to spend Advent living with greater consciousness of both the earthly and the heavenly realms, through a spiritual discipline that helps us to grow in love for God, for our neighbours and for ourselves. Advent is a season when we have a greater inkling of the (actually constant) interactions between heaven and earth and feel more open to their possibilities. This is particularly the case with the ministry of angels. Walking with Angels encourages us to walk and to pray, as we dwell specifically on the words that are attributed to the angels within scripture. There is an overall theme of connection and embodiment and its healing power, while each of the four weeks in Advent explores a different part of the message of good news. The act of prayer walking grounds our intercessions in a powerful way, requiring of us deep humility and acknowledgement of the authority of Christ: we, who belong to the dust of the earth, join our voices with those of the heavens to speed the coming of Christ's Kingdom. The chapters end with questions for group discussion and prompts to journal our prayer walking experience.
