Wahrnehmung und Realität

The analysis of chronicles, academic literature, travel literature and additional texts enables an approach on perceptions and ideas of the authors and their time. It becomes clear that profound ideas influenced the perception, e.g. the criticism on the reign of the king was based on the conception of an ideal ruler. Thus, the conceptions of a reign were even "conservative" where nobody would expect them to be, e.g. with urban chroniclers or reformers. Moreover, a constant change in the conceptions can be identified not only in political areas and aspects of everyday life but also as intentional reinterpretations by the main characters themselves.
