Viscoelastic Surface Treatments for Passive Control of Structural Vibration

This book deals with the structural vibration reduction making use of passive damping control techniques by means of surface treatments with viscoelastic materials. In fact, this kind of vibration control technique is largely utilised nowadays for several industrial applications, such as aeronautical and automotive components. In this context, this work involves a double objective. On the one hand, a classical and contemporarily relevant survey on different subjects concerning viscoelastic treatments is provided. On the other hand, two examples of application are shown.
