Diane is deep in the heart of the Amazon, looking for an archeological relic that will make her career. And she's finally found it -- a silver statue, buried in a stalagmite, depicting a heavily pregnant woman. It's everything she's ever asked for, but somehow it doesn't make sense. Metalworking didn't exist in the era it would be from, and why is the statue actually pregnant, and not merely plump?The mystery gets deeper when she is haunted in her dreams by a heavily pregnant woman who speaks in riddles and declares Diane "e;my new vessel."e; She tries to pretend she's just stressed, but she suddenly can't stop eating, and her tummy sure is looking a little round lately. Diane thinks it's just a coincidence, but as her waistline starts to expand, she's going to have to realize the goddess in her dreams is real, and so is her new rapidly growing pregnant belly.
