Velvet Lies

A lie is a statement that is known or intended by its source to be misleading, inaccurate, or false. A person who communicates a lie is termed a liar. If that's all true, then every cornbread making Southern woman is guilty. There's white lies, shameful lies and then there's VELVET LIES, which change people's lives. Ron takes on a colorful collection of Southern women that are so connected, so much a part of each other's lives that when one is cut, they all bleed. Southern women live in fear of hurting someone's feelings. They live their lives in the shadow of the truth to keep the peace. That is, until one woman that joins their tight knit group that has a theory of suffering in silence. It's her choice and challenge to the group of women to live out loud and give up the deeply Southern, time honored tradition of ignoring the truth.
