Alynna leaves sunny Los Angeles in the middle of winter to take care of her dying aunt in Northern Illinois.That's a lie – she really left LA to run away from the fact that her overly-controlling mother was having an affair with Alynna's boyfriend. Most of this book will make you laugh, but a couple of parts might make you sad. Utility is a study of happiness, and you can't study contentment without a little discomfort. Fortunately, Utility delivers a heaping dose of giggles and silliness that will make you smile.
