U.S.-of-A Metanarrative: Ideals-and-Destiny

This books tries to deal with the big picture-the long story-that is, the meta-narrative of the United States of America. This includes the history, philosophy, ideals, thoughts, identity & character, life and ways, and being American. Some focus is on the "Manifest Destiny" as a religious and political motivation for settling the west, and on the illusions and misconceptions of these actions as well as other present ideas about the formation and development of our country.
