This book is an outcome of the Seminar on “Inclusive Growth and Social Tensions” conducted in the Department of Economics, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam on 6-7 October, 2010. About 600 delegates participated and nearly 500 delegates presented papers and participated in the discussion and deliberations. I am highly thankful to the paper contributors for helping me in bringing out this book which will be of some help to the researchers and also policy makers in India.
