Up & Over the Wall

I knew I was going to propose, but I just didn't know when. I started writing this e-book about our first year of getting to know one another. I thought it would be romantic and very corny to write about it, have her read it, then propose to my then girlfriend Maria. I had the whole day planned out.. about a day beforehand. I spend the day blowing up balloons in my condo (all white). I brought her home after dinner at my family's house. I didn't say a word.. and the room was filled with the balloons and I have a white flower bouquet waiting for her & a gift bag. I had Bruno Mars playing the background and I asked her to dance. Very awkwardly said yes.. although I knew she was holding back the excitement of knowing this might be it. After we danced, I took her to my balcony with the gift bag. I sat behind her and she opened the bag to find an ereader. The ereader was side-loaded with my ebook that I had written. We read about our first year together while have a glass of wine. When we were done, I had the ring prepared underneath the lounge chair and I pulled it out in front of her and asked her to marry me!
