Inge Staton found hundreds of beautifully written love letters, composed between 1923 and 1944, from her beloved father to his first wife. She was enthralled by their romantic nature at first, but as she continued to read them, she came to the astonishing realization that her father had been deeply involved in the planning of D-Day. Enlisting the help of a journalist she had known since childhood, Staton dedicated herself to unveiling her father's experiences and his role in World War II. This book presents over one hundred letters as well as the until-now unknown legacy that her father left behind.
