Unity of the soul

What attracts the recipient of Tariq''s intelligent works is the specificity of searching for the soul of human things and forms, extracting the hidden feeling in the material of the artwork (painting, printing, pottery) and retrieving its distant sources in the self and history, oral and written, since ancient times. The artist writes marginal texts on the surface of the drawn, printed, or engraved work. These texts (cuneiform letters and mythological symbols from Mesopotamia) help to conceal the inner meaning, which does not give its essence the first time, but rather requires a far-reaching and impactful interpretation, and access to additional fossils and epic texts, from the local and human heritage. With this symbolic reinforcement of texts, the completed work goes beyond its traditional, craftsmanship origins (among engravers, potters, and hand-printers) to become a poetic/ritual text with its metaphorical-spiritual characteristic, and drawing inspiration from the best "essential" artistic craft produced by the human hand.
