Uninvited Guests

How frightening is it to enter a room and be confronted by the unknown, the unwanted, the uninvited - ghosts. Perhaps it is more frightening to be the family and friends coming to the realization the apparitions or ghosts are the result of a loved one entering the fog, the loss of memory, loss of faculties due to the onset of Alzheimer's. In the mid twentieth century we often smiled and commented, "Grandpa is getting senile". Little was known about Alzheimer's. Unfortunately the mystery remains about the origin of, or possible cures for this fearsome disease. Scientists continue to research the human brain in an effort to resolve the horror of this affliction. Families that provide love and comfort, have ceased trying to convince the loved one they are not encountering - Uninvited Guests.
