Two important wind quintets by Austro-Hungarian contemporaries

Gy rgy Ligeti's Six Bagatelles for Wind Quintet is part of the standard repertoire of the classical woodwind quintet. Iv n Er d's Quintetto ungherese is in no way inferior to this. This book focuses on the composers and provides insight into their compositional work with detailed analyses of the works. Iv n Er d himself speaks about his work in an interview. Together with the author, who is a musician herself, the works were developed and rehearsed. Thus, the book connects composer, musician and author into a greater whole.
