The famous Russian traveler and ethnographer Nikolai Nikolayevich Miklouho-Maclay (1846-1888) discovered the civilized world of the unique nature of New Guinea and the exotic culture of the aborigines that inhabited it. In his diaries, he told about life and adventures among the wild tribes of Maklai Coast, which was named so even during the life of the researcher. Now the planes of tourist airlines fly to those places - but the first Russian explorer and naturalist went down the ladder to the shore of the mysterious "Papuazia".
