Translation Medic

There is a critical need for translation aid that is easy to use and unique to emergency medicine. Telephone translation services often require wait times and rely on cellular service not always available in the pre-hospital setting. Translation Medic is an EMS-focused translation guide that can be used in the pre-hospital setting to effectively communicate with minority patients. This pocket-sized picture book was created in 2020 by working EMS professionals. The authors hope that Translation Medic can be utilized to streamline and improve the care of minority communities.
