Transition Metals - An Overview

This book contains five selected chapters which provide an overview of transition metals. Chapter One explores transition metal based cathode materials for lithium-ion cells. Chapter Two reviews recent advances on the functionalization of 4-quinolone derivatives via transition metal catalysis. Chapter Three examines the screened exchange interaction in bulk at the interface of transition metals. Chapter Four summarizes the synthesis, characterization, and use of the copper(II)-1,4-bis-(3-hexafluoroacetylacetonate)benzene framework. Chapter Five reviews iron(III) nitrate as a catalyst in acid-catalyzed reactions.
