Traces of the Heart

"e;Traces of the Heart"e; is the bonding of the inner spiritual and outer material world. The author draws on the beauty of the natural and urban landscape as a reference for her artworks. The poems and images capture the beauty of personal moments that provide a meditative and reflective narrative. She has an eclectic approach to her work using the interplay of artworks and text, taking advantage of the narrative possibilities offered in the mediums of drawing, printmaking and mixed-media collage. She has been inspired by the great colourists of modern times especially Matisse and Monet. They continue to be a strong influence as do her Goan-Kenyan background.
