Toughest Person I Know is my journey as a caregiver of Julie, who fought cervical cancer for four years. I asked questions and took meticulous notes throughout the journey so that I could learn the medical terminology to help Julie.Without a doubt, the person battling cancer is and always should be the focus. Caregivers, however, are also a key to this battle. For me, this journey taught me a lot about myself and a wealth of other things about love, faith, friendship, kindness, happiness, teamwork, and respect.You'll see in this book how trying to find the right information at the right time to get the right care to fight this evil disease is a challenge. You'll also see many project management and operations and supply chain management implications, too, throughout this journey.What you won't see from this book is a how-to list or a top ten list of things to do as a caregiver. The facts and subsequent reflections in this book are personal to me. They have a deep meaning and a bigger purpose for me.In short, I'm not going to create reality for you or give key takeaways, and certainly not any lists to memorize. The reflections, the "e;bigger purpose,"e; are all up to you in your journey of personal improvement as you walk on earth.
