Too much for them...too little for me

We twist slogans to our advantage... We harness them to serve us... To make us appear better, stronger, and nobler to ourselves and to others... We are the exploiters of words. If we want revenge, we recite all the immortal sayings about the necessity of making them pay the price for your wound, and we sing of all the attributes of revenge and the right that must be restored. And if we find ourselves powerless, we repeat in a humble, human, weak voice all the sayings that sing of tolerance, that we are greater than them, that time is their keeper, that patience is our key, that forgetting is our goal, and the blessing we await.
