Paul Bailey doesn't have much left to live for. The entire world has been devastated by a superflu that has killed millions of humans and animals alike. Paul's own pregnant wife, Mary, was one of the many victims. Paul recognizes that he is living in the end-times, and he isn't sure what possible joy could be waiting for him.

Then, the arrival of a troubled stranger changes everything.

Sister Mary Catherine has been through intense trauma. After the superflu killed off many in her convent, followers of Satan showed up to murder the rest. Kate, as she comes to be called, is the sole survivor.

Paul, still deep in grief, can't bear opening his heart to another but still feels an obligation to protect and support Kate. As the two grow closer, God reveals His plans for their relationship and their lives. Paul and Kate must choose whether to accept the special purpose God gives them. They, along with two new arrivals, hold the key to the prophecies of old. Armageddon may be upon them, but there is still room for love, joy, and grace in their lives.
