Toffee Waits for Mommy

Mommy Goes to Work, is the simple story of Toffee, the miniature poodle who finds ways to enjoy his time while he waits for his mom to come home. He plays with his toys and daydreams about his treat. He is visited by his friend, Kitty Kat, who wants him to come out to play ball. This is a simple tale that allows children to understand about playing and sharing and the importance of patience. The book explores the use of positive thinking that is simple enough for the targeted audience of pre-school and kindergarten children. It allows for simple items to be shown to children and the words associated with them such as ball and play. The main character is a real poodle, owned by the author and photographed by the author for the book. The remaining characters are drawn. Bright colours have been used wherever possible to make the experience pleasing to the eye and both comfortable and memorable for a child to view.
