To See the World in a Grain of Sand is a collection of poems about incidents, memories, and meditations that span eight decades of the poets life. Grain of Sand is divided into four sections, Blueberry Summers about childhood and family, Did the Hand Then of the Potter Shake? about humanity and questions about a God who lets pain and poverty exist, Morning Thoughts Over Coffee, about creation and the power and beauty of nature, and Sunspots Explained about the poets experiences with war and its emotional and physical impact on humanity. Grain of Sand collects the poets experiences from over eight decades and we see clearly his vision through his selection of imagery and language.
