Through a Child's Eyes

After publishing his first two poetry collections, it occured to author Carlus Wilmot that his previous works didn't delve deep enough into his soul. Into why or how he became the man he is today. These written words upon the pages of Through a Child's Eyes is an account of his life. This book will give the reader a unique veiw on how trauma and abuse can lead to a dysfunctional lifestyle. This is not a book about substance abuse, even though it played a big part in his life, nor is it an easy read. Both heart-wrenching and moving, Carlus transports the reader into Milwaukee's ghetto, through his childhood, first loves, the racism he encountered, his family, and how he beat the odds.
