Three newest pieces for accordion

Markus Fagerudd's Three Newest Pieces is a pedagogical work for accordion, drawing on characters and characteristics of runo song from the Finnish national epic, Kalevala. The work consists of three movements with a total duration of approximately seven minutes.

Markus Fagerudd (b. 1961) has a broad output as a composer, from solo pieces and film music to big orchestra works. He is especially well-known for his works for the stage, both children's operas and musicals as well as different kinds of theatre collaborations, often courageously crossing borders between arts and genres.
