Three lessons on Descartes

Three centuries - and what centuries! - It is a long period that separates us from Descartes and his books, in addition to history, and to science theoretically and practically, and to life, but it is short in addition to philosophy, and there is no doubt that the progress of philosophy is slow, because it is concerned with very simple matters: it is concerned with existence, knowledge, and man. These are simple matters that we never cease to care about. Therefore, the answers of the great philosophers to these simple issues, worthy of care, remain useful and important for long centuries and even thousands of years. Philosophy is in a continuous present, and today there may be no philosophical thought more appropriate than the thought of Descartes, unless it is the thought of Plato.
