Those Men taught me

The author we love is not only a friend whose opinions we keep company and whose ideas we benefit from, but he is more than that. With these opinions and ideas, he infiltrates our hearts and minds and affects or changes our personality. In this way, it is psychological and physiological and has a vital role in our existence. But the great author is not the one who makes us see the world with his eyes and bear witness to people and things with his conscience. Rather, he is the one who teaches us independence as both seers and spectators, even if his vision and testimony did not open our insight.
