Thorned Towns: Global installation

Slobodan Maldini: Global anti-urban installation Thorned Towns The historic urban cores of world capital towns are "stabbed" by a multitude of sculptural-architectural artefacts built in the shape of giant spikes. The idea is to globally "grow" thousand mandrels within the built historic urban towns, as a metaphor for "the defense of Mother Earth from urbanization." Global anti-urban installation "Thorned Towns" includes several world-famous cities: Vatican, Venice, Amsterdam, Antwerpen, Barcelona, Vienna, Brussels, Edinburgh, Cologne, Copenhagen, Lisbon, Milan, Mont Saint-Michel, Paris, Prague, Berlin, Los Angeles, Manhattan, Shanghai, Buddhist temple Byodo-in in Uji, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan.
