This victim-centered, fictional crime story is about a social worker dedicated to helping foster youth who have endured sexual abuse, physical abuse, and neglect. This book explores the main character's history of childhood trauma, the events that inspired her to pursue a career in social work, and the incredible impact she had on the lives of the youth she served. However, the story takes a tragic turn when one of the foster youth she tried to help ultimately becomes her murderer.
