Freddie Llorat was essentially a simple man. Like everyone else, he had the need to resolve the ambiguity of his existence - after all, man does not live by bread alone. What is the meaning of life? Why am I here? These questions have plagued human existence since the dawn of mankind. Then he had an idea. He worked on it for years before coming up with a short treatise which he presented to an academic Journal and, to his surprise, got it published. That's when the trouble started. It seemed that not only did this treatise relegate all religions to superstition, but there was a flaw in the theory which actually made it devestating to ALL philosophies (even the sciences), emphatically strengthening the argument against religion in the process. People don't like their world-view threatened. It makes one uncomfortable. Perhaps Freddie needed to be eliminated before irreparable damage was done to the existing philosophies - and their fortunes.
